In game two of the three game series versus the East Laurens Falcons the Bulldogs took care of business in five innings beating the Falcons 17-2.
In the first inning the Bulldogs came out swinging and scored eight runs. Freshman Trayvone Harris had a two run RBI single and Freshman Brantley Upshaw also had and RBI. Senior Alex Gordy had a sacrifice grounder that scored a run and during Sophomore Will Watts’s at bat a run scored on a passed ball. Senior Foster Jones reached on an error scoring a run and Senior Chase Musselman had a two run RBI single.
The Bulldogs yielded two unearned runs to the Falcons in the bottom of the first.
In the second the Bulldogs scored another when Upshaw scored Junior Jason Dukes, who reached on a double, on an error. Neither team scored in the third and the score was 9-2 TCHS.
In the fourth the Bulldogs scored five. Watts hit a ball to the outfield which hit the glove of the centerfielder and fell out scoring two. Senior Chandler Lynn had an RBI single and Senior Gray Stephens walked scoring a run. Harris was hit by a pitch scoring the fifth of the five that inning.
In the fifth and final inning the Bulldogs scored three. Two runs scored on Lynn’s reach on an error. Sophomore Carson Braddy scored a run on a sacrifice grounder to shortstop Chase Donaldson.
Freshman Brantley Upshaw pitched all five innings and gave up two hits and two unearned runs. Upshaw had four walks and three strikeouts.
The Bulldogs are now 12-11 overall and 4-7 on the region.
The final game of the series will be played on Friday, April 15 with the first pitch being at 5:45 and it will be live on Y-101 100.9 and streamed on our YouTube page.
