Cole Graham ends his high school career with a national championship

Former Toombs County Bulldog catcher Cole Graham ended the high school phase of his career by winning a national championship. Cole was the starting catcher, designated hitter and clean up hitter for the 18 and under Vidalia Baseball Academy team that won the 2019 Grand Slam World Series of Baseball held July 22-28 in Panama City, Florida. Beasley helps BayBears break 8-game losing streak

He wasn’t the winning pitcher, since he only threw four innings and left the game with the scored tied at 4-all, but Jeremy Beasley helped his Mobile BayBears stop a eight-game losing streak with a 13-4 win over the Mississippi Braves (Atlanta’s AA affiliate in the Southern League) at Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile. On Friday the crew from Shaw Sports Turf was adding green sand to the new Legion NXT Turf. Also, work continued on other parts of the Pit including the steps in the south end zone and the fence.

Thursday Booster Stadium update

On Thursday new additions to Booster Stadium include the beginning of the installation of two sets of stairs in the south end zone. There is also a way to enter this seating area without using these stairs over on the visitor’s side.

Wednesday Booster Stadium update

With each day the workers from Shaw Sports Turf are getting closer to completing their installation of the new turf and other improvements at Booster Stadium. Wednesday was cooler day, comparatively speaking, with a breeze and the temperature in the upper 80’s compared to the upper 90’s last week.
