Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby wins two more world championships in Akron

Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby proved that bringing home four world championships in the summer of 2017 was no fluke. SEGA returned to Akron, Ohio the week of July 18-21 and scored two more All American Soap Box Derby Championships and both champions added to their trophy case.

In 2017 Aidyn Driggers, from Tarrytown won the Rally Stock Division and in 2018 she ruled in the AAA Local Challenge- Stock Championship. Aidyn rolled through her bracket and won the championship with a total time of 89.870 seconds for her three trips down Derby Hill.

Aidyn’s brother, Cash, also performed well in Akron making it to the finals of the Rally Challenge-Stock Championship and finishing third.

Cayson Hayes (far lane) wins a heat easily
Cayson Hayes, from Summerville, South Carolina was a Saturday winner for the second straight year. In 2017 he was the Stock Champion and he followed that up, once again representing Southeast Georgia, with a win in the FirstEnergy Rally Stock Championship.
