“All the girls hit,” head coach Shawn Stringer said. “Its a team effort and we preach putting ball in play hard somewhere and making the defense work. Staying back in our stance and driving the ball. No easy outs. We thought we would hit the ball really well, but our defense needed a little work. And they worked so hard. We changed the infield around last minute before district and it payed off. We played some of our best defense so far. We practiced really hard the week before district and put in a lot of work. It carried over and we played well in every game in district . We are proud of the way we practice, play and the sportsmanship we show on and off the field. We hope to represent Lyons the right way and show how hard we’ve worked as a team and hopefully bring home a state title.”
