Beasley picks up his 1st Orem win and continues his amazing streak

July 21- (Orem, Utah) Jeremy Beasley pitched in his second game with the Orem Owlz and for the first time in his home ball park. He entered the game in the top of the eighth with Orem trailing 2-1. The Owlz scored a run in the bottom of the eight to tie the game at 2-all and then they scored one in the bottom of the ninth on a walk, a sacrifice bunt and a walk-off RBI double by Brandon Sandoval. Beasley pitched two three up, three down innings and earned his second professional victory and his first with the Owlz in his second Orem outing, Jeremy retired the Voyagers on three ground outs, two strikeouts and one fly ball to center field.

Jeremy has now pitched 9 2/3 straight innings and faced 31 consecutive batters, with the Arizona Angels and the Owlz, without allowing a hit. During this span the four base runners have reached on three walks and an error.

In his first professional game, on June 26, Beasley allowed two singles and a triple before he got his first out and since then nobody has reached on a hit.

(1-1) Tracy Hadley grounds out, third baseman Franklin Torres to first baseman Angel Molina. Torres fielded the ball behind the bag and his momentum took him to foul territory. His throw to first base was high, but Molina leaped in the air and caught the ball and landed on the bag for the out.
