Ashtyn Braddy was the starting and winning pitcher against Jenkins County and Torrie Wright hit a solo home run over the left field fence on Field 2.
Bailey Holland pitched a complete game against Jeff Davis and the only two runs she allowed were in the fourth inning on a two-run homer. Holland induced five grounders all handled flawlessly by the Lyons defense. First baseman Ally Tauffman snagged a liner and turned it in to a double play and third baseman, Harley Hester caught a foul ball up against the fence and Braddy made several fine plays at short.
Hester, batting third, went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs and scored twice. She lined a single off the pitcher’s glove, singled to right field and drove in a run with a grounder to second and on each swing a run scored.
Leadoff hitter Ellie Graham went 1-for-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Braddy also helped set the table for Hester by going 1-for-2 with a walk and she was hit by a pitch and scored four runs. Wright went 1-for-3 with a two run double and she scored twice and Tauffman hit a double and scored twice. Morgan Newsome also had a RBI single.
