Bulldog wrestlers earn TCHS’s best ever finish at GHSA Dual Tourney- a second place trophy

The Toombs County wrestlers were matched up against one of the powerhouses in small school wrestling in Georgia for the championship of the GHSA AA State Team State Duals in the Macon Centreplex. Social Circle won the AA dual and traditional state championships the past two years and on Saturday the Redskins completed a dual three-peat with a 35-24 win over Toombs County. The Dawgs earned their best ever finish in either event and became the first Toombs County High School sports team to finish second in the state since the Lady Bulldog slow pitch softball team lost in the state title game, in Columbus, in the fall of 2000.
