Lane Adams and Keshawn Morgan named to AJC All-State Team

Prior to the start of the 2016 high school football season Lane Adams had never played the sport for the Toombs County Bulldogs or Bullpups. The baseball second baseman joined the team during the summer. First he was a punter. Than he became a starting wide receiver and later a starting defensive back. After his only season as a football Bulldog Lane was named First Team All-State by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

From the start the former recreation soccer player was able to boot the football with great accuracy and then later in the season accuracy and distance. In a intrasquad scrimmage game in August Lane punted the ball inside the 10. In his first game in the Pit, in a scrimmage against Hephzibah, Adams dropped one out of bounds at the four. Adams averaged a net of 39 yards per punt and had a long boot of 48 yards.

In 2015 Keshawn Morgan was a third down running back for the Bulldogs and he was very effective at picking up first down. In his junior season Keshawn split the running back position with fellow junior Jeidon Sistrunk and both piled up some big rushing numbers behind the Bulldogs’ awesome offensive line.

Morgan rushed for 1697 yards and 21 touchdowns averaging 154.3 yards per game and 8.3 per carry. He scored at least a touchdown in 10 of the 11 Bulldog games including an amazing night, in McRae when he scored six times and piled up 372 rushing yards. He also scored four touchdowns against East Laurens and three on Jeff Davis. Keshwan was named Honorable Mention by the AJC.  Keshawn Morgan Page
