
Former Toombs County Lady Bulldog softball player Katie Hayes returned to her home base with her Andrew College softball team as the Lady Tigers played a doubleheader at East Georgia State College in Swainsboro. East Georgia swept the two games 4-1 and 5-0. Katie started both games and went hitless with a pair of walks. She catches the first game and plays third base in the second game and she always bats fifth. Watch a slideshow

Katie has been a hot hitter since March 16 raising her batting average 43 points entering the East Georgia series. Check out Katie’s 2016 season

Hayes is a sophomore at the junior college located in Cuthbert and she will be returning home for good next season. Katie signed with Brewton-Parker College and she will major in special education.
