TCMS Bullpups finish 2nd in MGMSAA Soccer


For the third straight season the Toombs County Middle School Boys soccer team finished second in the MGMSAA Tournament. Playing on their home field the Bullpups lost to West Laurens 2-0. TCMS only lost two games this season and both were to West Laurens, The Raiders won the regular season game at West Laurens on penalty kicks.

The Raiders scored a first half goal with 3:30 play and a second half goal with five minutes to go. Toombs had several chances to take a 1-0 lead in the first half and other opportunities to tie the game at one in the second half.

J.R. Trippe beat Bleckley County on penalty kicks to win the girls championship. The game was tied at 2-all after regulation and overtime.
