Trapping Indians beat the Bulldogs in the Region 2 Semifinals

The Vidalia Indians half court defense trap menaced the Toombs County Bulldogs in the semifinal round of the Region 2 Tournament at Vidalia. The Indians went on a 16-4 run in the fourth quarter in their 60-39 victory. The Bulldogs will play Metter on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. for third place in the region. Jeff Davis downs Toombs County twice in Region 2 play

The Jeff Davis High School basketball teams took a pair of Region 2 basketball games in Hazlehurst from Toombs County. JD won the girls game 42-30 and the boys game 71-55. Bulldogs end December with a 4-game winning streak

Four-game winning streaks have been relatively rare in Toombs County Boys basketball. Since the 2006-07 season the Bulldogs have won four games in a row only three times including their current four-game win streak.
