The Toombs County baseball team opened the season with a 7-3 scrimmage victory at Metter. The game featured only nine total hits and 21 combined walks. Seven Bulldog wrestlers are going to state

Seven Toombs County Bulldog wrestlers have survived the grueling, two-day GHSA Class 3A -A Sectional in Madison and have qualified for the state tourney. That number compares favorably to the past. Nine Bulldogs qualified for state in 2010-11, eight in 2008-09 and seven in both 2007-08 and 2011-12. Junior guard D.R. Meadows opened the 2015-16 Toombs County Bulldog season scoring 27 points in a home game against Montgomery County and he closed the the regular season tossing in 26 at Southeast Bulloch. Cruz Arredondo, Ricardo Santana, Justin Hall, Nathan Belch and Ervin Mincey have all won their first two matches at the GHSA Class 3A -A Sectional in Madison and have qualified for the state tourney. Indians dominate rematch

In December, in Lyons, the Toombs County Bulldogs and the Vidalia Indians were tied at 45-all entering the fourth quarter. TCHS Bulldogs repeat as Area 1 AAA Champs

The Toombs County Bulldog wrestling team repeated as the Area 1 AAA champions and in the process qualified 11 Dawgs for the GHSA AAA East State Sectionals in Madison. Six Bulldogs won area championships and all for the first time. Last year the Bulldogs qualified all 14 weight classes for the sectionals and had four area champs. Savannah High rolls to two wins at TCHS

Savannah High School rolled in to the Toombs County Gym and won a pair of Region 1 AAA crossover games by double-digits.
