TCHS Net Dawgs nipped by Haralson County in GHSA State Tourney

Advancing to the second round of the GHSA State Tourney has been a real challenge for the Toombs County volleyball team. The Net Dawgs lost in four incredibly close sets at Haralson County in the first round of the 2015 state tourney. Haralson puled out the victory 23-25, 26-24, 25-23 and 25-22. Doe runs like a deer in Cook’s 43-14 win over the Dawgs

Brandon Doe is a sophomore running back for the Cook County Hornets and in one half of play against the Toombs County Bulldogs he scored four touchdowns to lead his Hornets to a 43-14 home win. Lynn and Zamorano finish first in race around the new school

Toombs County’s Tristan Lynn and Jennifer Zamorano each finished first in the first cross country race run around the new high school. Both runners controlled their respective races from the front. TCHS JV Dawgs score early and hold on late

The Toombs County junior varsity football team scored the first 13 points of their home game against West Laurens and then held on with some tough fourth quarter defense to  a 13-12 win improving the junior Dawgs record to 3-1. The Toombs County Middle School Bullpups came within two-points of winning their first game of the season. TCMS put together two touchdown drives, but the Pups yielded two big plays to Antonio Mercer in a 14-12 loss at East Laurens. Four seniors were honored immediately after the Toombs County volleyball team lost it’s final regular season game to Ware County 25-11 and 25-13, dropping the Net Dawgs record to 14-15. Four very talented musicians visited Y-1o1 Radio the week before they are scheduled to perform at the Real Squeal in Lyons. Dodge MS Warriors run away with a 40-16 win

The Dodge County Middle School Warriors remained undefeated and moved to 5-0 with a 40-16 win over Toombs County in Lyons. The Bullpups scored two touchdowns in the second half on a run from scrimmage by Tyler Smith and a long kickoff return by T.Y. Myrick.
