The Lyons Flea Boys entered the bottom of the first inning trailing Glennville 6-0 in their first game of the Lyons Youth Tournament. The Toombs County Bulldog football team, under new head coach Ritchie Marsh, opened their summer workouts on June 6. The Dawgs haven been doing some heavy duty conditioning. The Lyons Flea Girls experienced the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat all in one day of the Lyons Youth Tournament and by the same 15-1 score. After 3 1/2 innings the Lyons Mite Girls trailed Appling County 9-1 in the game that decided which team would play Jeff Davis for the championship of the 54th Annual Lyons Youth Tournament.
