The 2017-18 Toombs County High School season has opened with the Bulldogs competing in dual tournaments at Ware County, Effingham County and on Tuesday Glynn County in the Battle at the Beach. The Toombs County High School basketball teams opened up the 2017-18 season playing afternoon games in the Hugh McBride Tournament at Jeff Davis High School. Last year in the opening round of the GHSA State Playoffs the Screven County Gamecocks beat the Toombs County Bulldogs with a handful of big plays. Improved Bulldogs get a second shot at improved Screven County Gamecocks

On August 19th the Toombs County Bulldogs and the Screven County Gamecocks were in the same venue opening up the 2017 season.
