TCMS Bullpups go 2-0 with a 44-15 home win over Metter

Coming off an overtime road win at Screven County, the Toombs County Middle School Boys basketball team scored 16 points in both the second and third quarters to defeat Metter 44-15 in Lyons. Jesus Quintero, who scored 25 points at Screven County, led the Bullpups with 13 points, JuJu Cutler added 8, Oglesby 6, Caden Marsh 5, Jones 4 and Hayward, Williams and Eason each had 2.

Lady Bullpups 4th quarter rally come up 3 points short

In their first home game of the season, the Toombs County Lady Bullpup basketball team rallied in the fourth quarter and cut Metter’s lead to one. However, the Lady Tigers scored two points moments before the final buzzer to win 26-23. McKinnon scored 11 points to lead TCMS. Morris added 6 and Brantley and Watts 2 points each.

Toombs County versus Rabun County

In their most recent second round match ups in the GHSA playoffs under head coach Richie Marsh ,the Toombs County Bulldogs have traveled to Sylvannia to play the Screven County Gamecocks. This Friday they take a much longer trip to Tiger to play the undefeated 11-0 Rabun County Wildcats. The Region 2 AA coaches have voted and 14 Toombs County Bulldogs have been selected to the All-Region teams. Missing seven experienced players who are still participating in the football playoffs, the Toombs County Bulldog basketball team opened up the season with a 65-59 home loss to the Portal Panthers.
