Toombs County High School Valedictorian LiliAnn Pittman, who threw a personal best in the shut put of 37-03.00 at the GHSA Sectional A Meet in Fitzgerald on Saturday, exceeded that throw with a 38 feet and 11 inches toss to finish second at the GHSA AA State Meet in Rome. D.R. helps lead South Georgia to a GCAA Tourney win over Georgia Highlands

D.R. Meadows drove in three runs with two RBI singles and a bases loaded walk to help lead his South Georgia State Hawks to an 8-5 win over Georgia Highlands in the losers bracket of the GCAA Tournament in Albany. Head coach Richie Marsh has stressed that his Toombs County Bulldogs play fast during spring practice-even if they make a mistake.
