TCHS’s D.R. Meadows plays at UGA’s Foley Field

Toombs County High School baseball player D.R. Meadows went 8-for-10 and pitched two scoreless innings at the University of Georgia’s Foley Field. Meadows, the starting shortstop and leadoff hitter for a team called GameOn, also walked three times at the plate and yielded only one hit and one walk in his relief stint on the mound. TCHS Bulldog Defense

In a 2-8 2014 season the Toombs County Bulldogs yielded 34 points per game. In the upcoming 2015 season the Dawgs will be trying to chop that number down significantly. Jake Davis wins two GRPA State Titles

Jake Davis, a recent Toombs County High School graduate, ended his GRPA swimming career by winning two state titles in Tifton. Davis, who specialized in the freestyle stroke for the Bulldogs, won the 50 and 100-yard freestyle races. Lyons Mite Girls surge to a 3rd place finish

The Harris brothers, Cameron and Trevon, started and ended the bottom of the sixth inning with big hits as the Lyons Flea Boys baseball team edged Vidalia 3-2 to win the GRPA 8 and under State Tournament.
