The Toombs County Middle School basketball teams closed out their pre-Thanksgiving schedule with a pair of home wins over Portal improving each team’s record to 3-0. K.K. Improved Bulldogs get a second shot at improved Screven County Gamecocks

On August 19th the Toombs County Bulldogs and the Screven County Gamecocks were in the same venue opening up the 2017 season. They both played in the Erk Russell Classic, in Paulson Stadium, in Statesboro. The Dawgs edged East Laurens 10-8 and the Gamecocks defeated Bluffton 45-20. The Toombs County Middle School Bullpups made 13 3-pointers in a 62-48 win over Collins- they fired in eight in the first half and five in the second. No matter how many times they trailed the Fitzgerald Purple Hurricanes the Toombs County Bulldogs didn’t stop grinding in their first round GHSA State playoff game in Booster Stadium.
