3 Lady Bulldogs will be playing college soccer next fall

The Toombs County Lady Bulldog soccer team, coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in the GHSA State Playoffs, is off to a 4-1-1 start and the girls have won both of their Region 2 games. On Monday three seniors from the team signed scholarships and they will begin their collegiate seasons next fall.

Ashley Venegas- Brewton-Parker College

Ashley Venegas is a striker for the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs and her job is to score goals and that is what she has done in both her junior and senior seasons.

This season she has already scored 12 goals and last season she tallied 21.

The Brewton-Parker Lady Barons had a 7-12-1 record last season. The Lady Barons play in the SSAC and NAIA.

Brooke Coxwell and Jacky Balderas- ABAC

Brooke Coxwell plays in the midfield and Jacky Balderas is a defender and both Lady Bulldogs are headed to Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. ABAC is a member of the GCAA and NJCAA. The two-year school went 3-10 last season and Olivia Wright- another former Lady Bulldog- played defense for ABAC in her freshman season.
