In the past- prior to the installation of the Legion Turf- Booster Stadium has been ill-equipped to handle a rainy day or night. In 2007 a massive storm turned an Appling County at Toombs County game into a muddy mess. McIntosh County Academy and the Bulldogs also sloshed through four quarters in 2011. More recently- in 2017- a Twiggs County at TCHS game was delayed due to a heavy rain storm,
Six hours before the 7:30 kick off between Hephzibah and the Bulldogs, the Legion turf had no standing water despite a consistent rain which began on Thursday night.
At 3:30 p.m the forecast for the kickoff in Booster Stadium is for a temperature of 51 with a 40% chance of rain and the wind blowing at less than 9 miles per hour. The radar showed the rain drifting to the north away from Toombs County.
