The Bulldog wrestlers open up the season with Santana and Rodriquez each going 5-0

Coach Brooks Cliimmons talks to the Bulldogs

Martin Santana and Arael Rodriguez were each coming off cross country season as they switched sports to wrestling and both went 5-0 in their dual matches at Ware County to lead the Toombs County Bulldogs to a fifth place finish in the Gator Duals in their first action of the season.

The Bulldogs had to forfeit three weight classes because those wrestlers are still playing football which means the Dawgs were giving the other team 18 points before the matches began. Toombs County defeated South Effingham, Statesboro and Coffee and lost to Colquitt County and Ware County.

Three Bulldogs wet 3-2 in their matches- Jacob Edwards, Jose Balderas and Devante Willis.
