Trailing 3-0 going to the bottom of the fourth inning of a six-inning game, the Toombs County Middle School Lady Bullpups scored one run in the fourth and eight in the fifth to beat North Tattnall 9-3 in a semifinal game in Lyons.
The victory sends the Lady Bullpups into the championship game on Saturday at 10 a.m. against South Tattnall at the Glennville Recreation Complex. South Tattnall beat Screven County in the other semifinal game.
Brinley Miler drove in the fourth inning run and Casey Cantwell pushed the Lady Bullpups into the lead with a single in which three runs scored. Anna Patrick walked and tripled in the fifth inning.
Arlie Gooden went 1-for-3 with a run scored, Nora Grace Mercer 1-for-3 with a run scored, Kassidy Brantley 2-for-2 with two doubles, Cantwell 1-for-3, Miller 1-for-3 with a run scored, Autumn Jarriel 1-for-3 with a run scored, Morgan Kersey 1-for-3 with a eun scored, Patrick 1-for-2 with a run scored and Aniston Powell 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Gooden pitched six innings and allowed three hits with nine strikeouts and three walks.
