TCMS Bullpups edge Jenkins County 3-2 to move into a championship match up with Metter

Gavin Hall pitched seven innings and allowed six hits and two earned runs with nine strikeouts and no walks to lead the Toombs County Middle School Bullpups to a 3-2 home win over Jenkins County in a semifinal playoff match up. On Saturday at 11:30 a.m. (new time) the Bullpups will play host to the championship game against Metter.

Jenkins scored a run in the third inning to take a 1-0 lead. TCMS tied the game in the bottom of the fourth. Ashton Luke reached on an error, stole two bases and scored the run.

Jenkins regained the lead in the fourth as a triple and a RBI single made it 2-1. TCMS scored twice in the fifth. Hall singled, stole a base and scored a run and Zeke Barnett reached on an error, stole two bags and scored the game-winner.

Luke went 2-for-3, Hall 1-for-2 and Bryar Douberly 1-for-3.
