Senior Brock Harrison and sophomore Chase Musselman combined to pitch a one-hitter in the Toombs County Bulldogs’ 5-0 home scrimmage win over Treutlen.
Harrison pitched the first four innings and did not allow a hit as he struck out five Vikings and walked two. Brock retired the first seven batters before issuing a one-out walk in the third inning. He walked the leadoff hitter in the fourth and then ended his appearance retiring three batters in a row.
Musselman also recorded seven straight outs before he committed an error on a ball hit between the mound and third base. His throw to first base was high. A wild pitch moved the runner to second base and a single put Vikings on first and third. Musselman ended the game with two strikeouts.
The Bulldogs stroked seven hits and scored single runs in the first and second and three more in the fifth. The young guys swung the stick well. Musselman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored, sophomore Foster Jones went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, freshman Kodie Cortez went 2-for-3 and freshman Jason Dukes went 1-for-3 with a run scored.
Senior and leadoff hitter Bryce Deloach went 1-for-1 with two walks and two runs scored and senior Cole Graham went 1-for-3.
