In their third game Lyons lost a tough 4-1 decision to Jeff Davis. Brantley Upshaw allowed five hits with seven strikeouts on the mound and late in the game he cleared the Green Monster with a solo homer. This season it is more difficult to smash a homer because of a change in the composite of the bats.
