With two outs, in their final at bat, the Lyons Mite Boys Red Division team needed a big hit and outfielder Parker Stanley provided it. He  pulled a pitch down the third base line to drive in shortstop Ross Cumbley with the game-winning run in an 8-7 victory over Montgomery County. The Lyons Mite Boys were hoping to take home the big trophy in the Lyons Youth Tourney. The 9-10 year olds won two games on Saturday taking care of Candler County 10-5 and Vidalia 7-5 to move into the championship round as the only undefeated team, meaning they needed just one more victory at Little Fenway Park at Partin Park to be champions. Former Toombs County pitcher Jeremy Beasley continues to throw scoreless inning after scoreless inning for the Inland Empire 66ers of the Advanced A California League.
