TCHS Basketball season opens in the Hugh McBride Tournament

The Toombs County High School basketball teams opened up the 2017-18 season playing afternoon games in the Hugh McBride Tournament at Jeff Davis High School. The Bulldogs, who led 26-20 at half, lost to Brantley County 58-45 and the Lady Bulldogs lost to Irwin County 33-24.

This was the first regular season game for new Toombs County head coach Ryan Lewis.

Tyrese Lewis and Karis Harden each scored 11 points, Drekari Jones added 9, Dalton Lynn and Tekeila Baker each had 6 and Tyreke Butler 2.
