Jamar Smith’s latest UTEP road trip took him to West Point and the United States Military Academy to play the Army Knights. Through five Miner games Jamar has traveled to Oklahoma, New Mexico and to New York to play Division 1 football.

Jamar Smith played on his third different TV network

The game was broadcast on the CBS Sports Channel. Jamar has now played on three different television networks- Fox, ESPN and the CBS Sports Channel.

The now 0-5 Miners hung with the Cadets for a half, UTEP had an 81 and a 73-yard scoring drive in the first half and the score was tied at 14-all at the break.However, former Georgia Southern head coach Jeff Monken is the head man at Army and they run the option on offense and against UTEP the Cadets ran for 353 yards in a 35-21 victory. Army is 3-2 with additional wins over Fordham and Buffalo and losses to Ohio State and Tulane.

Smith played in both halves and had three solo tackles and three assists including one tackle for a 1-yard loss. So far this season Jamar has 18 total tackles with 13 solo’s and five assists.

2nd and 6 at UTEP25 Bradshaw, Ahmad rush for 10 yards to the UTEP15, 1ST DOWN ARMY (SMITH, Jamar).
