Six Toombs County Middle School Softball players are honored on 8th Grade Appreciaton Day

The Toombs County Middle School softball team ended the regular season with 8th Grade Appreciation Day and a 14-6 loss to Portal. Up next is the playoffs and on Tuesday, October 3 TCMS will play host to Collins at 4:30 p.m.

Six 8th grade players were honored before the game and all eight said that they are going to continue their softball careers by playing for the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs in 2018. Congratulations to Paige Furr, Ziahya Griffin, Rebecca Herndon, Lily Keairns, K.K. Mobley and Emma Salter.

Emma Salter- pitches and can play in the infield or outfield
K.K. Mobley moved from the outfield to shortstop in her 8th grade season
Rebecca Herndon plays the right side of the infield either at second or first base
Ziahya Griffin owns the hot corner- she pays third base and she hits the ball to the fence 
Lily Keairns is the Lady Bullpups’ left fielder and she likes to smash the ball into left field when she hits
Paige Furr gets to deal with the sunshine out in right field
