Bullpups fall behind by 12 before outscoring Bryan County 28-14 in a thrilling 36-34 win

With 11 seconds to play in the opening quarter, in Lyons, the Toombs County Middle School Bullpups trailed Bryan County 20-8. However, from that point on the Pups turned up the offense and tightened up their defense as they outscored the Redskins 28-14 to pull out a 36-34 victory.

Wide receiver Malek Day and running back Lakendrick Stearnes each scored a pair of touchdowns and receiver Jashaun Powell caught a fade pass for a TD. Quarterback Kodi Cortez threw the three touchdown passes and with 55 seconds remaining in the game he tackled a receiver to deny the Redskins a two-point conversion which would have tied the game.
