Chandler Lynn scored two first half rushing touchdowns and Derrick Mincey broke a 14-all tie with a fourth quarter safety as the Toombs County junior varsity football team edged Tattnall County 16-14 on the road. The young Bulldogs have won two straight games and are 2-1 on the season.
The Warriors turned a short pass into a big touchdown play early in the second half to tie the game at 14. The Bulldogs got a defensive stop on a fourth down play and then with Lynn running the ball they moved down to the 1-yard line. However, the Warriors came up with a defensive stop on fourth down. On the next play Angel Brown, Brandon Usher and Lynn helped set up Mincey’s tackle in the end zone to net two points with 3:24 to play in the game.

After the free kick the Bulldogs were not able to kill the clock. So, the Warriors got the ball back and Karis Harden sealed the Bulldog win with an interception. Rakweon Powell also had a pick.
