In middle school softball you play six innings and the third inning seems to be the one which gives the Toombs County Lady Bullpups the most trouble. The latest example of this dilemma happened in a home game against Bryan County. The game was scoreless going to the top of the third inning and that is when Bryan County scored five runs, helping the Lady Redskins break away to an 8-1 victory.
Toombs County highlights included K.K. Mobley stroking two base hits to right, Lauren Hattaway catching two fly balls in left and Emma Salter striking out seven batters.
