The Toombs County Lady Bulldogs had plenty of scoring opportunities in a 7-4 home loss to Bryan County. They stroked eight hits after being two-hit by Metter in their last game. They had at least one base runner in each of the seven innings. However, they left 14 runners on base including nine in scoring position.
LiliAnn Pittman (1-for3) singled in a run with one out in the third inning, Lexie Martin (2-for-4) drove in a run with two down in the fifth with an opposite field single to right, Amber Braddock’s (2-for-4) single in the sixth plated one run and Jeslyn Smith (2-for-4) ended the TCHS scoring with a single in the seventh. Harley Hester went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.
