The regular season opened on Thursday with the Toombs County Middle School Lady Bullpups beating Claxton 17-12 on the road while the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs lost a home game to Jeff Davis 14-3.
K.K. Mobley, Emma Salter and Ziahya Griffin each went 2-for-2 for the Lady Bullpups and every other starter had one hit.
The Lady Bulldogs stroked seven hits against JD. LiliAnn Pitman led the way by going 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBI’s. Pittman singled in a pair of runs and doubled in one with a drive to deep right. Freshman Ashtyn Braddy went 2-for-3 with a double in her first varsity at bat. She also walked and scored a run. Amber Braddock went 2-for-4 with a run scored and Fallon Holland went 1-for-3.
