After two days of GRPA State Tournament action three Lyons All Star teams remain undefeated. The Lyons Junior Girls and Flea and Mite Boys are all in the winners bracket. The Lyons Flea Girls lost a one run game to Dublin to move them into the losers bracket and the Lyons Midget Girls lost their first game of their Tourney.

Augusta- Junior Girls (14 under)

The Lyons Junior Girls moved into the championship round of their tourney with a 10-1 win over Camden County. Lyons will play Moultrie for the state championship beginning at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Lyons needs one win while Moultrie needs two straight victories. Moultrie moved into the championship with a 10-2 victory over Camden County.
Bailey Holland pitched three innings and struck out five batters. Ashtyn Braddy stroked three hits and drove in three runs and Harley Hester also had a three RBI game. Braddy pitched two innings and struck out one batter.
East Point- Midget Girls (12 under)
After a rain out on Tuesday Lyons took on Moultrie on Wednesday and the defending state champs won 14-0 and then those South Georgia Girls beat Vidalia 10-1.
East Point- Mite Boys (10 under)
The Lyons Mites, after being rained out on Tuesday, won two different kind of games on Wednesday. In their first game, against Glynn County, the pitching machine was firing the ball in at over 50 miles per hour and the two teams combined for 10 strikeouts. Lyons pulled out a 1-0 win in the bottom of the fifth inning. Cameron Harris doubled and scored on Kameron Clark’s sacrifice fly.
In their second game Lyons hit the ball better in a 10-1 victory over Moultrie Gold. Trayvon Harris hit a home run to lead the All Stars to their double-digit tally. Lyons will play Mitchell County on Thursday at 2 p.m.
Waycross- Flea Boys (8 under)
The Lyons Fleas knocked off the home team with a 13-9 win over Ware County. M.J. Burton went 3-for-4, Slade McDonald 2-for-3 and Tyson Brantley 2-for-4.
Lyons will play Pooler on Thursday at 10 a.m. and the winner moves into the championship round,
Moultrie- Flea Girls (8 under)
Lyons opened the day with a 9-7 win over Coffee County and then the girls played Dublin and for the third straight game Dublin pulled out a one-run victory this time by a 9-8 score. Dublin beat Lyons twice in the District 1 Tournament by a single run.
On Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Lyons will play the winner of the Wayne County/Coffee County game. The winner of that game will play Dublin for the state championship needing two victories to take it all.
