Five Lyons All Star teams are competing in the GRPA State Tourneys this week and on the first day of competition three of those teams won a combined four games while the Mite Boys and the Midget Girls had their games rained out in East Point.

(Waycross) Flea Boys (8 under) Lyons 10, Glynn County 2
Head coach John McDonald says the All Stars struggled a little with their hitting, but they made some fine defensive plays. Riley Kersey, Parker Stanley and M.J. Burton each had two hits. Burton, who plays third base, made a spectacular play getting to a ball hit in the hole, shortstop Tyson Brantley handled a hard hit ball and second baseman Slade McDonald made a diving catch.
Lyons will play the host team Ware County on Wednesday at noon. On Tuesday Ware beat Thomasville YMCA 20-8 and shutout Dalton 20-0. Camden County took care of Moultrie 29-17 and Pooler nipped Vidalia 19-18.
(Augusta) Junior Girls (14 under) Lyons 14, Wayne County 0 (four innings)
Lyons batting scored five runs in the first inning, one in the second, three in the third and five in the fourth.
Ashtyn Braddy went 1-for-2 with a walk and two runs scored, Ellie Graham drove in a run and scored twice, Rileigh Robinson 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, Tori Wright 2-for-3 with a RBI and two runs scored, Allie Taufman 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Harley Hester 3-for-3 with two runs scored, Bailey Holland 1-for-3, Maison Newsome 1-for-2 with a double and a RBI and Emma Salter went 1-for-2.
Holland and Braddy pitched a combination one-hitter. Holland threw three innings and struck out three batters and Braddy struck out one in her three up, three down fourth. Only one out was made by an outfielder and the only hit was a single with one down in the second inning.
Lyons Junior Girls 7, Moultrie 3 (6 innings)
The All Stars competed their first day with a win over the team that beat them last year in the Midget State Tourney. Holland pitched a complete game two hitter and Wright drove in five runs with two big hits. Braddy and Graham each set the table with a pair of hits and Robinson also had a two-run hit.
Camden won a pair of games shutting out both Augusta 7-0 and Rockmart 25-0. Camden and Lyons will play on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
(Moultrie) Flea Girls (8 under) Lyons 26, Dalton 0 (three innings)
The Lyons Flea Girls took care of their business quickly and moved into a big match up on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. Coffee blanked Crisp County 21-0. Wayne County won a pair of games beating Moultrie 18-3 and Lee County 18-14. Dublin defeated Thomasville YMCA 15-1.

Lyons versus Ware at noon- If the boys win they play Thursday at 10 a.m. and if they lose they play today at 4 p.m.

Lyons versus Glynn County at 1:30 p.m.

Lyons versus Moultrie/ Colquitt at 3 p.m.
Junior Girls (13-14) at Augusta
Lyons versus Camden County at 2 p.m.- if the girls win they play on Thursday at 10 a.m. for the championship and if they lose they play Wednesday at 6 p.m.
