Lyons Flea Boys conquer the Lyons Youth Tournament

The Lyons Flea Boys didn’t just win the Lyons Youth Tournament. The 8 and under boys conquered their competition outscoring their opponents 81-10 in the five games they played over three days. Lyons scored five runs in the both the first and second innings of the championship match up with Vidalia and then in the third inning they scored 13 more in a 21-1 victory.

Earlier in the tourney Lyons routed Johnson County 24-0, run ruled Swainsboro 11-1, came from behind to defeat Vidaila 10-3 and moved into the championship round with a 15-5 win over Long County.

How well did these boys play? They didn’t make an error on defense and every batter in the lineup stroked at least one hit and drove in at least one run.

Leadoff hitter Tyson Brantley went 3-for-4 with two RBI, M.J. Burton 2-for-4 with a RBI, Parker Stanley 4-for-4 with two RBI, Riley Kersey 3-for-4 with two RBI, Trevor White 3-for-4 with three RBI, Slade McDonald 2-for-3 with two RBI, Brody Benton 1-for-3 with a RBI, Brody Randall 2-for-3 with a RBI, Nick Carroll 2-for-3 with a RBI and Deon Moore 2-for-3 with two RBI.
