The second spring football practice under head coach Richie Marsh is completely different from the first one. Last year the Bulldogs were learning the basics like how to run to the football, this year they know how to do that. So, with a talented senior class they are starting off at a much more advanced level.
On offense Ashlee Ashley is getting all the reps at quarterback. 2016 starting QB Dalton McBride and Trey Cloud are still in involved in the baseball team’s post season run. Keshawn Morgan and Jamar Burley are getting a lot of reps in the offensive backfield. Jeidon Sistrunk is dressed, but he is a little nicked up.

The offensive line has a new leader. Sam Rogers, who coached that position last year is going back to Fitzgerald, his alma mater. Jason McEachin a former assistant coach at Coffee County and most recently Swainsboro, is now coaching an experienced unit which includes Cody Fuller, Willie Campbell, Jonathan Quintero, Kyle Reynolds, Treyvon Wiggins and Ervin Mincey. Coach McEachin is a former Jeff Davis Yellow Jacket offensive lineman and played against the Bulldogs in the Pit in 2000 losing 34-21 to a team which advanced to the Elite 8. In 1999, 2001 and 2002 that two teams played at Jeff Davis with TCHS winning each game.
