Coach Richie Marsh has been in Toombs County for a little more than a year and on February 17, 2017 the Bulldogs and their family and friends celebrated that first season at the TCHS Football Banquet at the Callaway Center. Young Toombs County JV Bulldogs open up with a 13-2 win at Vidalia

The youngest Toombs County Bulldog junior varsity baseball team in years opened up their season with a 13-2 win at Vidalia. There were three sophomores, four freshman and three eighth graders in the 10 man batting order. The three middle schoolers went a combined 5-for-9 at the plate. Sophomore Ricardo Santana and junior Gage Clark became the fourteenth and fifteenth Toombs County Bulldogs to win a GHSA State Championship and they did it in similar type matches, going back-to-back on the AA mat before a sellout crowd in the Macon Centreplex. Ricardo Santana and Gage Clark each won two matches on Friday to advance to the finals at the GHSA Traditional Wrestling State Tournament in the Macon Centreplex. After the quarterfinals of the GHSA Traditional State Tournament in Macon the Toombs County Bulldogs are in third place in th AA standings with five wrestlers in the semifnals.
