A pair of Toombs County Bulldog GHSA State Champions

Toombs County GHSA State Champs Gage Clark and Ricardo Santana

Sophomore Ricardo Santana and junior Gage Clark became the fourteenth and fifteenth Toombs County Bulldogs to win a GHSA State Championship and they did it in similar type matches, going back-to-back on the AA mat before a sellout crowd in the Macon Centreplex.

Ricardo won 1-0 on an escape to start the second period and Gage took his match 3-1. Clark also opened up the second period with an escape. However, in the third period he was called for stalling giving his opponent a point which tied the match. Clark pulled out the win in the final seconds with a takedown.
