
Toombs County High School seniors Joann Gomez, Dominique Jones and Jocelyn Walker have been key contributors to the Lady Bulldog basketball program for the past three seasons. In their careers Gomez has averaged 6.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game. Jones 6.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists and Walker 5.4 points and 9.3 rebounds.
On their senior night these three Lady Bulldogs combined to score 25 points as they celebrated their senior night with a 45-41 win over Swainsboro. The junior class contributed the other 20 points with Christine Mobley scoring a team-high 13 and Shakevia Knight 7.
Only two other teams in Region 2 have beaten Swainsboro. Vidalia and Bryan County defeated the Lady Tigers who are 16-7 overall and 11-3 in the region.


Walker scored 10 points and made a third quarter 3-pointer and she was 3-of-4 and the free throw line and she sank two big ones in the final seconds.


Gomez scored 9 points and she also drilled a third quarter 3-ball and she scored four points in the fourth quarter.


Jones scored 6 points and she knocked down a second quarter 3-pointers and made a fourth quarter free throw.
