Vidalia pulls away from Toombs County twice in the second half

The Toombs County Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs both had potential road victories at rival Vidalia snatched away in the second half. The Lady Dawgs trailed 21-20 at half, but in the second half the Lady Indians pulled away to a 54-42 victory. Then in the second game the Indians turned a real close contest into a 69-60 victory in the final 4 1/2 minutes of the fourth quarter.

On January 10 the Buldogs nipped Vidalia 53-52 on a L.J.Sims shot with 3 second remaining. In the rematch Sims scored 20 to lead the Dawgs. Tahj Jones topped the Indians with 31. He scored 19 in the second half including 12 in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Mobley chipped in 13 Bulldog points, Alex Bount 10, Ermias Fisser 9 and Tyrese Lewis 8. Caleb Gilchriest added 19 for Vidalia, Todd Lanier had 11 and Galen White and Anthony Jones 4 each.

The Lady Bulldogs trailed 11-0 and then they steadied their game trailing 13-12 after the first quarter and they played even-steven with the Lady Indians in the second quarter.

Shakevia Knight topped the TCHS Girls with 14, Diamond Logan had 10, Christine Mobley 7, Dominique Jones 6, Calvnika Davis 4 and Jocleyn Walker 1.
