Swainsboro stops the Bulldogs four game win streak and the Lady Bulldogs also take a loss

For a second time, on a Friday night, the Toombs County Bulldogs had a four game winning streak stopped by a road Region 2 loss. In December the Metter Tigers beat the 4-0 Bulldogs with a second half comeback and on January 13 the Swainsboro Tigers pulled away in the second half. Jaylan McKinney scored 34 points to lead the Tigers to an 85-67 win. Swainsboro remains undefeated in Region 2 play with an 8-0 record while the 12-6 Bulldogs are 4-4 in the region.

D.R. Meadows scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs. He hit a 3-pointers and was 6-for-6 at the free throw line. Jalen Mobley sank four 3-balls and scored 17, L.J. Sims had 10, Alex Blount 9, Montrey Williams 5, Ermias Fisser 4 and Karis Harden 2.

Swainsboro also won the girls game 62-39. Jocelyn Walker had two 3-pointers and scored 8, Joann Gomez 7, Shakevia Knight 5, Dominique Jones and Diamond Logan 4 each and Chrstine Mobley 1.
