TCHS Bulldog JV ends season with a Fantastic Finish

Trailing 12-0 to visiting West Laurens with three minutes to play in their final game of the season, the Toombs County Bulldog junior varsity football team recovered two fumbles and scored two touchdowns plus a two-point conversion in an amazing 14-12 comeback victory.

Freshman quarterback Trey Cloud threw a short fade pass to sophomore receiver Adam Edwards for touchdown number one with 1:48 to play in the game. The Raiders were flagged for a penalty on the two-point conversion moving the ball to the 1 1/2 and Cloud followed his offensive line into the end zone to cut the Raider lead to 12-8.

Next Dakota Braddock recovered a West Laurens fumble. Cloud threw the game-winning touchdown to Gaylan Salem. Salem caught the ball in the flats and ran the ball in untouched with 1:12 left to help clinch the victory. Salem ended the game picking off a Raider pass.
