Toombs County cross country runners head to state as Region 2 champs

The Toombs County Bulldog cross country team is seeking their best ever finish at the GHSA AA State Championships at Carrollton High School.   The Toombs County Bulldogs had the top three finishers at the Region 2-AA Boys Cross County Championship, staged at the Altamaha  Heritage Center at Towns Bluff near Hazlehurst, and they finished first by a 25 point margin. Jamar Smith tallies a career-high 15 tackles

Jamar Smith’s junior college career is winding down and the sophomore had statistically his best game ever. On October 13 the linebacker had a career-high 15 tackles in the Holmes Community College Bulldogs 35-21 home loss to Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
