Eight Toombs County Middle School Lady Bullpup softball players were honored prior to their final regular season home game on Eighth Grade Appreciation Day and when their afternoon was over they had secured an 8-0 win over Jenkins County. The Lady Bullpups have won six games in a row and they improved their record to 8-1 as they remained undefeated in their subregion with two games remaining in the regular season.

Eighth graders played a big role in the shutout victory. Ashytn Braddy struck out 10 batters from the circle and at the  plate she reached on an infield hit in the first inning and then later in the game she pulled a pitch to left field and rounded the bases for an inside the park homer. Harley Hester and Jesslyn Smith each hit a triple and Amya Bullard lined a single and fielded a grounder at first base.
