On an early season Senior Night the Toombs County Bulldogs played their first of seven Region 2 games and they looked like they were in late season form. The Dawgs defense not only shut out the Redskins offense in the first half, but they also held them without a first down until the third quarter. Meanwhile, on offense Toombs spread the field and piled up the yardage and points opening up a 27-o lead at half on their way to a 41-7 victory in Booster Stadium.
Quarterback Dalton McBride scored two rushing touchdowns as did fellow junior Keshawn Morgan. McBride scored on runs of one and 23 yards in the second quarter with 8:07 and 3:37 left on the clock.
