The Toombs County Lady Bullpups scored six runs in the fifth inning to overcome a one-run deficit propelling them to a 9-4 home win over ECI. TCMS is 5-1 and 4-0 in the subregion. The two teams will turnaround and play again on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. in Twin City.


Toombs took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first on RBI hits by Harley Hester and Ziahya Grffin. Hester also drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning.

In the fifth inning Lilly Mosley walked with the bases loaded to tie the game at 4-all. Ashtyn Braddy was hit by a pitch to plate another run to put TCMS up 5-4. Aspen Johnson scored on a wild pitch and Emma Salter and Griffin each walked with the bases loaded and Rilyn Fitzgerald reached on an infield error scoring the final two runs.

Braddy pitched all six innings and did not allow an earned run and Hester, at shortstop, was involved in three double plays in the first, second and fourth innings.
