The Toombs County Lady Bulldogs don’t mind playing on Labor Day. For the second time in the past four seasons the Lady Dawgs won a Labor Day home game. In 2013 TCHS beat Metter on a holiday Monday to extend a winning streak to five games. On Labor Day 2016 Toombs took care of Islands 10-2 in five innings- the Lady Bulldogs second straight victory. The Lady Bulldogs evened their overall record at 5-5.
In 2013 eight Lady Bulldogs had at least one hit- Ansley Tatum (3-for-4 ), Abigail Lynn (2-for-4 with a double and a RBI), Katie Hayes, Bailey Bryson, Roxi Lane, Victoria Jordan, Dayo Waller and Victoria Reynolds.
Five current Lady Dawgs had at least one hit on Labor Day- Amber Braddock (2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI’s and two runs scored), Courtney Moore (3-for-3 with two runs scored), Taylor Thompson (2-for-3 with thee RBI’s), Britney Beckum (1-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored and two RBI’s) and Kierra Williams (2-for-3 with two runs batted in).
