The Toombs County Lady Bulldogs were 3-0 playing game in the Coastal Empire prior to winning their first home game of the 2016 season. The Lady Bulldogs defeated Montgomery County 14-2, in Lyons, in four innings to improve to 4-5 overall.


Senior Courtney Moore pitched a complete game four-hitter with two strikeouts and no walks allowing one earned run. Moore was also one of four Lady Bulldogs to stroke a base hit. Courtney (1-for-2) smashed a fourth inning single up the middle and also walked and scored two runs.

Amanda Powell went 1-for-2 with three runs scored, a stolen base and a walk, Amber Braddock 1-for-3 with three runs scored, two RBI’s and a walk and Britney Beckum 1-for-1 with two runs scored and two walks. Braddock ended the game with a back side swing to right field. Amber singled with the bases loaded and the ball got by the right fielder scoring everybody including herself.
