The Toombs County football program went 3-0 on the road on Thursday. The Toombs County High School Junior Varsity beat Metter 22-12, the Toombs County Middle School Bullpups held off Bryan County 25-24 and the Toombs County Middle School 6th Grade Team took care of Jeff Davis 12-7. Moore drives in five runs and pitches six innings in TCHS Region 2 win

Senior Courtney Moore went 3-for-4 and drove in five runs at the plate and she pitched six innings in relief and allowed only one run in Toombs County’s 8-4 win at Swainsboro. The Georgia at Mississippi noon time game had some competition in Lyons. The Toombs County Middle School Bullpups and Claxton Tigers played a make up game at the same time. However, the ESPN broadcasted SEC game didn’t effect the crowd at the TCMS Field. Claxton scored five touchdowns in a 34-15 victory.
